Jury comment:
When around 30 students create an excellent calendar concept under the direction of a passionate professor, it is not unusual for them to come from the RhineMain University of Applied Sciences. The annual calendar shows people and facets of the renowned design school, well researched, accompanied by quotes and clever texts. The individual pages have been designed to be as aesthetically pleasing as they are refreshingly varied – true to the calendar’s title. A change of perspective into the third dimension is provided by an augmented reality app developed especially for the wall calendar. The AR layer expands the respective analog calendar page in terms of content and visuals. From the idea and research to graphics, photography, font development and text, specials AR production and 3D specials, to accompanying the print production, public relations and sponsor search, the calendar was produced by the students. Such a mammoth project welds together, promotes teamwork, spirit and character, brings enthusiasm and courage to light. It is hard to study in a more results-oriented and joyful way.
A university project with a lasting effect for its 50th birthday.
