Jury comment:
In 2017 the photographer Sebastian Bullinger travelled to Nepal to capture the fascinating landscapes and also make portraits of the inhabitants of the village of Bigu. The photographs document the three-week walk through the Himalayas to the border with Tibet, and afford the viewer deep insights into Nepalese culture. All the proceeds of the calender sales go to the BREPAL association, which has as its goal the improvement of health provision in remote areas of Nepal.
