For most of us it’s an everyday means of transport, only fleetingly perceived as a means to an end: the metro. With this calendar the jury travelled into the subterranean beauty of metro stations. Their verdict: celestially beautiful ! For with the keen view of the photographer is revealed a quite singular microcosm of colour and windings, of tracks and metal, of stone and tiles. Harsh colours and extreme light characterise some of the world’s most beautiful metro stations.
