Jury comment:
Libraries are oases of silence and at the same time a wonderful collection of possibilities, ideas, undiscovered stories and authors. With their rich collections, they are an almost inexhaustible source for both history lovers and modern humanities scholars. They carry us off into alternative worlds of life, offer the opportunity for concentrated work and study, but are also a place of encounter. They provide space for our thoughts, feelings and dreams. How architecturally impressive and beautiful this space can be is demonstrated by the motifs in this calendar, which open the doors to twelve impressive libraries in the world – including the New York Public Library, the Maria Laach Monastery Library, the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Trinity College in Dublin and the Bibliotheca Nacional do Brasil. Bronze for the calendar theme, selection and creative implementation.
