The photographs are in their display strictly classical, of tranquil clarity, their composition is often symmetrical. In addition they are of extraordinary technical brilliance. The pictures want no less than to make something like reality depictable in a limited segment; that’s what makes them a visual event. Manfred Hamm, an appointed member of the German Society for Photography and a master of his field, stages monumental rooms, places of manufacture, of safe-keeping, the exchange of goods and knowledge, places of performances and exhibitions.
